I spent most of my career in emergency medicine, briefly working in the cardiac cath lab, then returning to the emergency department when the pandemic hit. I started at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse and then spent a few years as a travel nurse in the New York City area, including Long Island, and Westchester. I am board certified in emergency nursing.
I was valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA in Masters Program
and Inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, Omega-at Large chapter 2023, Rho Psi chapter 2013. I was employee of the month in cardiac cath lab and graduated with my BSN Cum Laude, with honors in nursing.
The most inspiring part of my job is knowing that I am helping people make changes that are positively impacting their jobs, families, relationships, and overall satisfaction with their lives. Being a part of someone’s success story is amazing.
I enjoy spending time with my wife, our 2 sons, and our fur-baby Brea. We spend lots of time doing kid stuff, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love to travel, go to the beach, and dining out, especially trying local cuisine when out of town. I try to stay active and enjoy practicing martial arts and yoga.
The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is that anger is a punishment you give yourself for someone else’s mistake. I say it to myself at least once a day and it can completely change the trajectory of my day.
As a serious dessert enthusiast, it’s impossible to choose. In the summer, a nice strawberry shortcake. Fall, a warm apple cobbler a la mode, and s’mores for BBQs and other outdoor festivities, although I will disclose that I have an indoor marshmallow roaster for s’mores any time. Creme brulee when you’re very full from dinner but still want dessert, cannolis when out for Italian, unless you’re at Francesca’s, then it’s their insanely delicious butter cake. I love tiramisu, but only when my wife makes it, and I will always order a chocolate lava cake if it is on the menu. Of course, a classic oreo dessert is the go-to for any place, time of year, or occasion, but to not mention these other fabulous desserts would be a crime against sweets.
